The path to harmony

Yoga came to us from India, where it originated over 2000 years ago. The word “yoga” comes from the Sanskrit word meaning “union” – union of body, mind and spirit. This eastern practice has found its place in many countries and cultures around the world, because it promotes good health, psychological balance and spiritual development. Yoga - a natural system of healing that is available for all ages, regardless of experience, health status and level of fitness. ?Here are just small lists of diseases in which treatment can help yoga: arthritis, chronic pulmonary disease, pain in the neck and back pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, diabetes, headaches, heart disease, infertility, insomnia, menopause, obesity. In addition, yoga can help you get rid of bad habits (smoking, alcohol, drugs), and bring the body of toxic substances. Unlike traditional exercise, yoga does not cause fatigue. Yoga – a balance between tension and relaxation. Feeling the positive effects of this practice, you will leave the boredom and you are looking will expect the beginning of the next lesson.??Some of the poses and yoga postures mimic different animals: dogs, eagle, cobra, swan, lion, tortoise and others. These poses stretch the muscles and stimulate the lymphatic system. ? ? Yoga exercises can be divided into three categories: physical (asana), breathing (pranayama), meditation. These exercises will affect not only the physical but also mental state: a person begins to realize that he has a huge domestic potential, finds the harmony of body and spirit. Yoga has a positive effect on the entire body, improves blood circulation, normalizes metabolism, the body increases the production of “happiness hormones – endorphins. ? It is believed that the human body circulates a variety of energy, ensuring its healthy functioning. Yoga activates these energies and brings them to a balanced state. There are five kinds of vital energy:

- Prana – is circulating in the chest, pushing the heart and lungs;

- Apana – are concentrated in the lower part of the body and controls the allocation of organs;

- Vyana – affects the circulatory system, spreading through the body the energy obtained by breathing and eating;

- Samana – supervises the work of the digestive system and maintains the energy balance of Prana and Apana;

- Udana – controls the area of the spine and is influenced by intuition, creativity, clarity of ? ?thought.

To achieve physical and mental health of these five energies must be balanced. This balance of energies can be achieved by doing yoga. Most people are familiar with the physical aspects of yoga, but yoga is a special spiritual side. People belonging to yoga seriously, must comply with certain ethics. Ethical behavior is aimed at to establish and maintain the harmony of man’s inner world. ? ?There are 10 basic ethical precepts of yoga, made the “Yoga Sutras” an ancient Indian philosopher Patanjali Swami: do no harm and violence, do not to lie and not to break promises, do not steal, self-discipline and control over the sexual instinct, self-restraint and ability to manage small, keep your body and thoughts in a clean, always be peaceful (that is to remain calm in all situations); be tolerant and patient; develop compassion for all living beings, to learn and improve their intellectual level. These principles differ from the religious order that benefited primarily the man himself, helping him in finding internal harmony and good health. ?
